My Life Changed in December
By Leslie Sturgeon, WIW Founder

In December not only did I turn a very exciting 53 years old, but I traveled with a dear friend to West Palm Beach, FL to be part of “Date with Destiny” with Tony Robbins. This was the final event in a year-long Mastery University program that has changed my life.

Picture this . . . 2:00 a.m. and 5,000 people from all over the globe are playing full out and have been since about 10:00 a.m. We have been at it for days and don’t want it to end.

The music is loud, we are high-fiving everyone in sight, we hug a lot, we shake our asses, we cry, we dig deep, we have epiphany after epiphany, we get clear about who we are, not to mention our mission, values, emotions, beliefs, and what we will and won’t tolerate in our lives. We rid ourselves of shame for our perceived failures and short comings. We dream bigger than ever and outline a plan to take control of our lives.

This was personal development on steroids. This event and the people I met there were no joke and truly my life has been changed in the most profound way. You will see things coming through WIW and me that were a result of that experience. I can’t stress enough that you need to surround yourself with like-minded people who are all trying to improve themselves. There is an energy that exists, a commitment, a sense of family.

As Jim Rohn says “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with” and Tony Robbins adds “if you are the smartest person in the room, find a new room.”

I highly encourage you to ramp up your own personal and professional development, be it with a Tony Robbins type event or here in New Hampshire at Women Inspiring Women. Avail yourself of the resources that are around you – even if you have to invest money to do so. Surround yourself with people who are moving in the same direction. Love on them, support them, be their cheerleader and they will do the same. Your efforts don’t need to be on a large scale if you aren’t ready for that, but do something . . . and something different than ever before. Isn’t it time? I am ready to play bigger, care to join me? I got your back, girlfriend.

Much love and gratitude, Leslie
