Welcome to 2020
By Leslie Sturgeon, WIW Founder
I absolutely love this time of year because it is like a fresh start. Something in us changes when the clock strikes midnight on January 1st. Unfortunately it also signifies the continuation of a very long, cold New Hampshire winter, but it is a good time to settle in and appreciate the beauty of where we are blessed to live.
As many of you know, the NH Conference for Women in November was the final one (after a strong 10-year run!). Because of that, there seems to be some confusion that perhaps Women Inspiring Women is folding. That is absolutely not the case – just the opposite in fact.
The Conference was a massive undertaking in time and money. The expenses to put it on were skyrocketing. We had a great run – thousands of women attended, we won several awards as the Best Networking Event in NH (see below to vote for our final one) and lives were changed as a result of this event.
I have been feeling restless and yearning to do something different. As part of my own journey of personal and professional growth, I am open and ready to explore, receive and share new possibilities for myself and WIW. I know I want to uplevel, lead and inspire differently in a way that is in alignment with the woman I have become since starting the group in 2007.
Currently I am taking some time to have a lot of conversations with WIW members and community leaders to make sure I have my finger on the pulse of what people are needing and looking for . . . the creative juices are flowing in a BIG way and I can’t wait to share with you the result of these conversations and my own ideas. Look out New Hampshire, WIW is going to be even more amazing and badass!
Please reach out and let me know how you are doing and what’s in store for you this coming year! And please share any ideas you have for the future of the WIW community.
Much love and gratitude, Leslie

She has spent her life learning about herself, taking massive action outside of her comfort zone and lived to talk about it. Leslie has “been there” and continues to transform into the best version of herself right along side you. She lives life without regret while embracing today and overflowing with excitement about what is yet to come. Leslie also likes girl talk and chocolate and laughing so hard she snorts or pees (sometimes both simultaneously).
