DEBBIE FARR
Debbie Farr has been hired as the Director of The Children’s Place & Parent Education Center in Concord. The Children’s Place & Parent Education Center is the only family resource center in Merrimack County.  Current programs include a toddler group, babies & parent support group, parent workshops and 2-3 hours of childcare up to 2 days a week.  She looks forward to helping them expand their services to meet the needs of New Hampshire families!  If anyone would like further information, they can contact Debbie directly at dskf@mygsc.com or check out the Center’s website at www.thechildrensplacenh.org.  Debbie says “I may not have all the answers right away but will be happy to try & help.” She will also continue to offer parent consulting & parent education services through her company, Flourishing Families.  Check out her website at www.familynh.com.


MARCIA GRIFFITH
Marcia is the founder of NetLunch and she is happy to announce they are holding a summer gathering on August 20th at the Nashua Country Club. The event is 11:30 to 1:30 (open arrival is 11:30 to 12:00). The cost is $10 to RSVP via the meetup.com page plus the price of lunch.

BARBARA-ANN YATES
Barbara-Ann Yates, creator of Womaneuvers(R) that provides tactical and practical strategies for empowerment, confidence and career transformation will be conducting a workshop on August 12th at Lesley University for the Urban Scholarship Initiative. STAR DARGIN
Star Dargin, PCC, CPCC, of Star Leadership, is delivering a talk on influencing: One Size Does Not Fit All on October 26 at the PM Summit Conference in Boston. HEIDI LITTLE
Heidi Little of The Arts Collaborative in Meredith, NH hosts First Friday Creative Women’s Gatherings. Friday, August 7th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. will be “Colors of the Unconscious” with guest artist and collaborator Tamsan Therin of Essense Perfumerie. The fee is $20 and includes materials and light refreshments. Watercolor painting classes are also being held on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 12:00 a.m. on August 5, 12, 19 and 26th. NH SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
On Tuesday, August 18th, the NH Small Business Administration is hosting “ChallengeHER” (opportunities for women in federal contracting). Information is power!  In order to successfully navigate the federal contracting industry and win federal contracts, you MUST know the rules and understand the strategy.  ChallengeHER has assisted woman business owners all across the country to help them understand the Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Procurement Program, the federal procurement process, and to connect them with the right people.  With this knowledge, you are much better positioned to grow your business and increase your revenue. This is being held at Rivier University-Dion Center, 420 South Main Street, Nashua, NH from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event is free but you need to register in advance HERE.


CANDICE BENSON
Candice is Chairperson of the TechWomen Power Breakfast Committee. The TechWomen Power Breakfast series is part of the NH High Tech Council’s TechWomen|TechGirls initiative that builds on a strong community of women enthusiastic about technology and supporting efforts where girls are exploring STEM as a career or area of study. TechWomen|TechGirls holds programs for professional women to connect, collaborate and explore ideas around career development, technology initiatives, and innovation. The initiative also deploys volunteers and mentors to support academic STEM initiatives and events for girls across New Hampshire. According to Candice, “We are excited to offer a place for women in the technology fields to come together and create lasting meaningful relationships while learning from each other’s successes. We have a lot of brilliant women in our community and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate and support them with our power breakfast series.” The breakfast series will take place the second Wednesday of every month starting in September.
