  • Eliminate toxic relationships. Distance yourself from dream stealers and nay sayers, people that cause drama.
  • Find a mentor and emulate how they live their lives.
  • Positive attitude – be someone others want to be around. Be consistent as people can’t stand to be around an unpredictable person. Ask yourself, “How can I make this a phenomenal day?”
  • Understand yourself – be aware of yourself, embrace your weaknesses and nurture your gifts.
  • Be committed to being a life-long learner. End the day smarter than you started. Choose your reading material and TV shows carefully. Listento CD’s, attend free webinars, subscribe to newsletters.
  • Never “feed” something you don’t enjoy – why give it your energy and attention?
  • Be uniquely you – have your own style and embrace it!
  • Strive to bring everything to a higher level. Don’t just do what is required or expected. Tend to details, raise the bar, stand out from the crowd.
  • As the saying goes, “you wouldn’t head out on a road trip without a map,” so don’t head out into life without an idea of where you are headed and a map to guide you. Do some goal setting!
  • Strive to find your life’s purpose. If you don’t know what it is, follow your passion and see what unfolds for you. Pay attention to the signs – they are everywhere!
  • Get out of your comfort zone. Stretch yourself constantly.
  • Forget the negative past. Today and tomorrow are all that matters. Stop being the victim.
  • You are 100% responsible for your life including your actions and reactions.
  • Be still and be quiet. It is in the silence that you discover great things and have wonderful thoughts. Everything becomes clearer. Don’t clutter your mind.
  • Be thoughtful and make a difference – ask yourself every day, “How can I brighten someone’s day today?” and “How can I make a difference today?”
  • Take yourself on a date – take time to do something wonderful for yourself. You deserve it!
  • Create a bucket list and always try to have new experiences, visit new places and try new foods.
  • Be aware of what you need for skills and training to get to the next level – occasionally take steps so you will be ready when the opportunity comes along.
  • Don’t be afraid to fail because it will be a learning experience. We learn from the bumps in the road.
  • Always be prepared – have marketing materials ready to go and business cards, gifts, greeting cards, and an updated resume on hand. Make sure you have an outfit for every occasion in your closet and ready for a spontaneous event. Have an arsenal of conversation starters.
