A Confession from Leslie Sturgeon
Founder and Visionary, Women Inspiring Women
This week has felt like A LOT. It’s only Wednesday.
The pressure.
The noise.
The pull to do more, push more, figure everything out faster.
The fast-approaching deadlines.
The disappointment and managing of expectations of a certain situation.
And if I’m being honest… it can get loud and incredibly uncomfortable.
Which is exactly why this year’s theme for the NH Conference for Women—Rooted—has been hitting me differently lately. This theme is teaching me more than I expected.
Because being rooted for me isn’t about having everything figured out.
- It’s about staying grounded when things feel uncertain.
- It’s about trusting what you’ve built… even when things around you are evolving.
- It’s about coming back to yourself instead of chasing everything around you.
I don’t think I’m the only one feeling this right now. So many of the women I talk to are craving the same thing: less pressure, more clarity and more steadiness in the middle of everything they’re holding. Less noise!
That’s what this year’s NH Conference for Women is really about.
Not more to do. But a chance to reconnect—with yourself, your work, and what actually matters most.
If you’re in a season where things feel a little heavy, uncertain, or just… a lot… what helps you come back to center?
Leslie Sturgeon is the spirited founder of Women Inspiring Women, and has been described as a reformed shy girl, a serial entrepreneur, a tireless leader of women in New Hampshire, a crazy dog lover and as someone who tackles life’s challenges head on with a positive attitude. She has spent her life learning about herself, taking massive action outside of her comfort zone and lived to talk about it. Leslie has “been there” and continues to transform into the best version of herself right along side you. She lives life without regret while embracing today and overflowing with excitement about what is yet to come. Leslie also likes girl talk and chocolate and laughing so hard she snorts or pees (sometimes both simultaneously).
