Jamie Willett is a long-time member of WIW and just someone you like to be around to take in all her positivity! It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to this remarkable woman . . .
Recently we had a little girl talk with Jamie and this is what she said:
What do you do for a living?
I am co-founder of FrontBurnerMama.com and FrontBurnerMama Magazine.
Why were you drawn to WIW?
I truly enjoy hanging out with other business women because they are easy to talk with and always very caring. WIW really fosters this environment and after I attended my first event, I never doubted my decision to give it a try.
What is your favorite quote?
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
What is a recent book you read?
I’ve started many personal growth books (LOL) – but the last book I read for pure pleasure was “The Fault in our Stars,” a tear jerker love story of hope and loss.
Who is your celebrity crush?
It’s a tie between Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Gosling!
What is the best advice you ever received?
Don’t worry about the “what if’s”, just focus on it if it actually happens. This was shared by an amazing nurse in neo-natal intensive care after my twins were born 9 weeks early. She handed me a text book in case I wanted to read about all the things that could happen to them as preemies but cautioned me about reading it. I never opened the cover of the book!
What is your best memory of WIW?
The pajama party. It was so much fun to be super cozy and have a chance to chat with gal pals in a relaxed setting. The most unusual networking event I had ever been to for sure!
What would we be surprised to know?
I get very distracted when things are not in their places, most of the time I have to put things back where they belong. I’m a bit OCD that way.
If you could have any super power, what would it be?
To snap my fingers and be transported to my destination (no travel time to get there).
If you were stranded on a deserted island and you could have only 1 item, what would it be?
My husband!
If a person is not allowed, I’d say caprese salad (I know, those are very different!).
The biggest lesson I have learned in life is…
It’s okay to ask for help! At one time I believed I had to always do everything myself and that didn’t work very well. Later I realized it shows strength (not weakness or failure) to ask for support from others.
My guilty pleasure is…
I still enjoy watching “General Hospital” – ever since watching Luke and Laura in high school, I was hooked! I go in and out of watching it, but it’s a nice “escape” from reality for me.
Can you see why we love Jamie?
