This may seem like a strange letter, but I’d like to see more information for poor people. I was once a working mom, seemingly “had it all”, a home, husband, 2 kids, 2 cars, 2 dogs, etc…then got divorced, raised my 2 boys pretty much alone, lost one son in a car accident when he was 21. Life as i knew it changed so dramatically, I am now on disability, living with friends, no car, well you get the idea! I cannot get to meetings, groups, exercise classes, etc. I am only 56, but more or less home bound, relying on friends for rides (no public transportation where we live). I don’t mean to whine, but I just wish there was some sort of group out there of people who maybe traded rides for light housekeeping or something…I’m getting cabin fever! I do have a garden but it’s a bit early to start, i do crafts and artwork, but i just feel stuck in the rut of the car-less. Just wanted to get that off my chest.
